Readiness Is Key to Fire Fighter Health and Safety
The IAFF Redmond Symposium, held October 23-27, 2005 in Honolulu, Hawaii, focused on saving lives and making the job safer. The biennial health and safety conference featured an opening address from IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger and a keynote address from Uniformed Fire Officers Association Local 854 member and “Survivor: Palau” winner Tom Westman, as well as a panel of IAFF leaders who were part of the IAFF response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
