Hoyer Delivers $1.1 Million for New Fire Trucks to Naval District Washington at Indian Head

Hoyer Provides Funds For Apparatus.jpgCongressman Hoyer joined Naval District Washington Fire Chief Edward Stillwell (on his left); Bruce Poore, President of the IAFF Local at the U.S. Naval Academy and IAFF liaison for federal facilities in Maryland (on his right); and Joe Gronau, President of the IAFF Local at the Indian Head Fire Department (far right) to announce the award of $1.1 million Hoyer secured for the Naval District Washington. At Congressman Hoyer’s request, this funding was included in the Fiscal Year 2005 Defense Appropriations bill passed by the Congress last year and will be used to purchase three fire vehicles, one of which will be located at Indian Head Naval Surface Warfare Center.
